Compatible with virtually any chain you can throw at it*, the 1647 features a sturdy pin complete with ball bearing. The bearing helps to ensure the chain pin is driven straight every time. We still include a shelf to loosen stuck pins. Why the other brands have done away with that is something we'll never figure out.
